These guys are not just legends they are a health food sampling service, they provide you with the best organic, natural and highest quality health products which are available on the market. which is delivered it to your door for as little as $25 every month.
I received this box of goodies and have been developing recipes around the ingredients provided which has been really fun and not always what I would usually have on my weekly shopping list. I used kez’c choc mud bar as great addition to this smoothie, they are available in Woolies and Coles too.
This choc mud smoothie is a really great up-and-go/breakkie-in-a-rush kind of meal drink, a great addition to breakfast or to have by itself. Make it the night before, pop it in a jar in the fridge. Next morning usual routine (gym/yoga/shower) then grab and go. Slurp slowly until you finish it.
I have recently bought myself a great Nutri-blender from Healthy Life store, it is currently $49 reduced from $100 and available in stores. This is not sponsored or anything, I just love sharing a good deal. This little device over the past few weeks has been life changing for me. You can mill nuts to make nut flour, make dips etc as well as smoothies and juices.
Why its good for you:
I love using almond milk for all of my smoothies (my preference is Inside Out Nutritious Goods) it is also a good source of calcium (bones, skin and tissue), phosphorus (cell growth, metabolism, ATP (energy currency in cells) uses phosphorus to do their work) and magnesium (metabolism, immunity and help to regulate blood pressure and lung function).
Banana has naturally high sources of potassium, (source) potassium plays a major role in maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance in the body and cell function. It helps the body maintain homeostasis (equilibrium) which does also include a steady heartbeat.
Coconut Milk is a great dairy-free alternative which adds wonderful creamy addition to any smoothie. Its not that bad for you either, full of the good fats and contains fibre that can help in digestion. Manganese which can act as an antioxidant and some essential amino acids for helping your body repair and nourish.
Oats are fabulous slow release energy boosters and great to kickstart your day, they contain vitamin B’s which is known to help improve your mood, anxiety and PMS. A high level of soluble dietary fibre which is great for your circulation and for digestion.
Enjoy this little number, it was delicious.
