Rosedog’s Frozen Banana’s smothered in 90% dark chocolate, crushed pecan nuts then popped in the freeze. It can be served as a perfect healthy dessert for the oldies, bringing a bit of fun to the table, but also fabulous kiddy “ice cream” alternatives without all the added nasties.
Unbelievably Simple, really delicious and cheap to make. Would go really well with some extra scattered raspberries, strawberries & blueberries.
Makes 6 Pops
2 Bananas, cut into equal 3rds
50g Dark Chocolate (I used Lindt 90% Dark Chocolate)
Small Handful Nuts, crushed (I used pecan nuts)
6 Wooden paddle pop sticks
1. Melt chocolate in metal or glass bowl over a pan of simmering hot water.
2. Once melted load banana onto paddle pop sticks. Smother in melted chocolate. Sprinkle in crushed pecans.
3. Lay onto some greaseproof paper and pop in the freezer until served. Can put in seal proof box to keep for longer.
