These snacks are deliciously moorish and the massive benefit as they don’t even put the calories on. Great to take to work as a mid-morning snack, which will guarantee to keep hunger locked-up until lunch, but also great instead of a large bucket of popcorn at the movies. Easy to make too. You can have with almost any flavour. I went for parmesan & sea salt. But you could use chilli flakes and salt, chicken salt. The possibilities are endless. Thanks to The Londoner for this little number a while back.
P.S I have found it quite hard to locate frozen soybeans. Try any Asian Supermarket, I picked up my bag for $1 here – its a win win situation
Sml Bag of Frozen Soy Beans
1. Turn oven to 180c. Boil the kettle and empty frozen edamame (soy) beans into small sauce pan, boil for 5 minutes then blanch in cold water.
2. Place beans on greaseproof paper baking tray, add a good sprinkling of salt and a grate of parmesan. Then away you go. Whack in the oven for a good 30 minutes until browned.
Keep checking to see if they look something like this.
