|Mums beautiful Roses & Lavender|
I thought I would share with you my mums little garden that she has worked so hard on this past year. It is full of colour, beautiful fragrant flowers and herbs. As she leads me around her patch, each plant or flower has a little story behind it, either a gift from someone or a reason for it being planted there.
Having lived in Australia for nearly five years, there is nothing more I love when coming home to the English countryside is the smell. A friend once told me that every time she goes back it hits you, but it really does. It is hard to explain but it smells so “English”, with freshly cut green grass, the distant hint of bonfires, English roses, lavender and bacon sannies being cooked for hungry bellies.
